Chloe's Closet...
We are on target to open Chloe's Closet early in 2012!
The
'Closet' is a room transformed into a mini boutique, stocked with
infant and toddler clothing, diapers, blankets, bedding, small equipment
and other necessities needed to care for little ones. We are also
stocking toiletries, socks, gloves, scarves, etc. for the young moms in
our program. The variety and selection is based on donations received.
We
know that many of the young moms we serve do not have the resources
needed to provide for their children; keeping them clothed, fed and
nurtured as they would like. Winter in Ohio creates increased need for warm clothing!
Chloe's Closet will be accessed in two ways.
1.
Advocates aware of a pressing need have access to the clothing and
supplies from the 'closet'. This will allow for needs to be met when a
crisis occurs.
2.Young moms enrolled in our program will have opportunity to earn Chloe Points by completing lessons with their Advocate, attending Chloe's Moms gatherings, attending to health advocacy practices for themselves and their children, etc.
We
are soliciting new and very gently used items to stock Chloe's Closet,
as well as gift cards for specific items. This ongoing program is
expected to flourish as many friends of CHLOE, Inc, come together to
make it happen!
We are encouraging friends of Chloe to plan and host a
Chloe Momma & Baby Shower
within their circle of friends to benefit
